When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." John 21:15 NIV
Yesterday, God gave the Bridge Brigade the ability to feed 50 people living on the streets with the help of generous donations. We made a full chili supper for our friends, chili, cheese, crackers, and peanut butter sandwiches and a piece of fruit. Starbucks donated lots of sweet treats for desserts. Through generous donations from our partner, Indy Dream Center, every person got a hygiene pack and a survival pack. Lots of you have donated clothing and shoes and we were able to give almost all of those items away as well. We even had a generous donation of 10 homemade blankets that we were able to hand out! Thank you for your support!
This Sunday, we want to give our friends a homemade chicken and noodle dinner, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls.
As I listen to the rain this morning, the realization of the upcoming cold weather is eminent. Please consider donating hats, gloves, coats, shoes, socks, and blankets.
For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. Matthew 25:35 NLT
Please Donate to our cause. We are called to love our fellow human beings. We are called to spread the Good News!
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" Acts 1:8 NLT
